Welcome back to Currie’s Farm Market.
Being a seasonal business definitely has it’s challenges, but it sure does make for an exciting spring as we gear up for each new season with a whole lot of anticipation for what’s ahead.
We’re counting the days until May 17th, when Currie’s Farm Market will open for the season. Watch for our freshly cut asparagus and rhubarb as well as a selection of everything Ontario farms have to offer seasonally. What we don’t grow ourselves, we source from local farms throughout the season, so that everything is at its peak of ripeness, and flavour.
Even though spring has decided to arrive a bit late this year, the Currie’s Farm greenhouse is alive and well with seedlings awaiting some warmer soil to make their way into the field. We are also busy prepping the soil to plant herbs, peas, beans, potatoes, zucchini, squash and pumpkins from seed.
Currie’s Farm Market will be stocked on opening day with exceptional local preserves, farm fresh free-range eggs, clean meat, local milk & cheese, a selection of locally prepared meals made using organic ingredients, Kawartha Dairy ice cream, hot brewed coffee and freshly baked pies. You’ll also be able to find us every Saturday morning at the local Downtown Collingwood Farmer’s Market.
